Stellar UK chefs join Harvey Nichols for Tuesday terrace pop-ups
Claude Bosi, Chris Denney, Lee Westcott and Marianne Lumb will all prepare secret four-course dinners
Tuesday evenings will be an unexpected highlight of London’s culinary calendar this summer – not only because of the midweek timing, but also because the special one-off menus at Harvey Nichols will not be revealed until the nights begin.
Four of the UK’s most exciting chefs will each take over the department store’s Fifth Floor terrace to prepare a four-course Itineraries of Taste dinner (£40 including a cocktail) with S Pellegrino, beginning with Claude Bosi of Bibendum (July 18) – expect the type of classical cuisine that won him two Michelin stars at Hibiscus – and followed by Chris Denney of critically acclaimed 108 Garage just off Ladbroke Grove (July 25).
Next will be Lee Westcott (August 1), the Noma alumnus who now runs Typing Room at Bethnal Green’s Town Hall Hotel, before MasterChef finalist Marianne Lumb of Marianne in Notting Hill rounds off proceedings on August 8, transporting the magic of her tiny 14-cover restaurant to the larger space at Harvey Nichols.
There will only be up to 25 seats for each of the 7pm dinners, with tables released online in small batches from Monday June 26, meaning it is worth checking back if your luck is out first time.
