A slick and simple online portal for private jet travel
The convenience and comfort of private jet setting just got a click or two closer. Lynjet.com is an online, smartphone-friendly platform for chartering aircraft to anywhere in the world. “We are all now so accustomed to making purchases quickly online without waiting for quotations made by intermediaries,” says Lynjet founder Linda Sellidj. “So why not book a private plane in the same way?”
Users must become Lynjet members (from €249 per month) to access the service, which will ask them to choose an aircraft model and establish where they wish to travel – say London Heathrow to Nice aboard a sleek four-seater Phenom 100, priced at €7,911. According to the flight plan, the available planes are then shown and prices compared before the final booking is made.
Alternately, there are last-minute deals to and from fixed, mostly European locations – although some offers for American and Middle Eastern destinations are also available. So a flight from Moscow to Marseilles is offered aboard a Challenger 605 seating 11 people (€17,204) and can even be booked just four hours ahead of takeoff.
As for the all-important housekeeping, Lynjet operators are selected with strict quality and safety criteria to guarantee the customer serenity and reliability with certificates of airworthiness (AOC) and insurance of up to $100m; indeed, Lynjet purports to have the highest insurance coverage in the world of air chartering. Finally, the company promises tracking of each flight and is available 24/7 to its passengers and those on the ground via a dedicated phone line.
