Harrods’ Happy New You fitness season 2015
Harrods’ mission to help customers not only look more beautiful but also get fitter in 2015 has seen the London shopping emporium create the Happy New You season. “The inspiration was the cyclical process we all go through of making New Year’s resolutions that are often approached with optimism and dread in equal measure,” says Mia Collins, Harrods’ head of beauty. “We wanted to seize the optimism of 2015 and make a positive, self-affirming statement with our customers.”
Kicking off on the fifth floor, free fitness classes will be offered by different sports brands from Monday January 19 to Friday 23. Glofaster technology clothing is offering a spinning class and Lucas Hugh will have a ballet-inspired barre class (first picture), while chic Italian fitness-equipment brand Technogym will enlist experts to demonstrate its resistance bands, dumbbells and weights. Hot Yoga classes (second picture) will also showcase new-season kit from Sweaty Betty.
In the ground-floor beauty hall, the Sensai Extra Intensive Saho Facial Experience will introduce the new CP Extra Intensive range (£40 for one hour, redeemable against purchase). Celebrated facialist Theresa Horgen will be hosting consultations for Dolce & Gabbana skincare (£25 for one hour, redeemable against purchase) and Kiehl’s will have the free Healthy Looking masterclass (January 22, 6pm-8pm, booking essential) highlighting the new products in the Healthy Skin Essentials range. Meanwhile, in the Cosmetics Hall there will be new exclusive-to-the-store product launches from Guerlain, Lancôme and Natura Bissé.
For gentlemen, The Refinery will host Crème de la Mer’s free prescriptive lifestyle consultations and Dermalogica’s facial-map diagnostic sessions for the perfect skincare prescription.
Finally, to whet the appetite, The Cookshop on the second floor will be hosting healthy-eating demonstrations, while the Food Hall will offer plentiful samples of purifying juices and teas.
All bases for healthy living are covered – making for a safe trip on the wagon.
