A 15-course sushi extravaganza at Endo Kazutoshi’s London pop-up

The supremo comes to The Berkeley with a sublime chef’s choice menu for six weeks only

For six weeks this summer, Japanese chef Endo Kazutoshi will be sharpening his knives for a pop-up restaurant serving a 15-course omakase (chef’s choice menu) from Friday July 20 at The Berkeley hotel in London.

The pop-up restaurant will open to guests on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings – for just eight people per sitting – and is priced at £150 per person. The evening will begin with Japanese-inspired cocktails created by The Berkeley’s Blue Bar mixologists. Guests will then be led through to the sushi bar, which has been specially designed for the occasion and is tucked away discreetly so that diners can watch chef Kazutoshi at work.

His omakase menu draws on a wealth of experience: Kazutoshi is the former executive chef for the Zuma group of restaurants and spent two years at the Catalan restaurant elBulli – dubbed the world’s best restaurant. Dishes will include Scottish scallop oshinogi, lemon sole usuzukuri and wagyu beef agemono. Guests – seated close to the action – will be able to interact with the master of Japanese food as they enjoy dinner.
