New year, new Lululemon range
The fashionable fitness brand launches a new line of workout wear
Just in time to reinforce those New Year resolutions, Canadian fitness-clothing brand Lululemon is opening a new flagship store on London’s Regent Street today. For the launch, fashion students at Central Saint Martins have designed a limited edition range of two of the label’s most popular sportswear items in six prints inspired by the theme of “Into The Wilderness”, with names such as Designers of Twisted Tangle, Vivid Vision, Polychromatic and Seascape Hues.
Customers can kit themselves out with the bestselling Wunder Under Pant Hi-Rise (£138) – high-waisted leggings designed to be as flattering a shape as workout wear can be – and the Energy Bra (£68), which helps reduce sweat retention and defies shrinking in the wash. Both pieces come in the six different prints.
The new store will also be hosting free events for exercise enthusiasts in its second-floor yoga studio, including yoga led by Kristi Rodelli (January 12 at 8pm); a talk on “The Wellness Mindset” with fitness blogger and personal trainer Carly Rowena (January 13 at 6.15pm); and Will Wheeler will run the first of Lululemon’s Sunday Morning Yoga classes on January 15 at 10.30am. All sessions can take up to 30 people on a first-come, first-served basis.
