Lola James Harper’s London pop-up
The Parisian brand will be at Islington’s Paper Mache Tiger from April 26
Popping up in London this spring, Parisian lifestyle brand Lola James Harper will be taking over a space in the conservatory of Islington’s eclectic concept store Paper Mache Tiger from April 26 to May 15.
Lola James Harper’s founder, Rami Mekdachi, is a perfumer who has worked with Chloé, Roger Vivier and Hôtel Costes, and there will be a firm olfactory focus at this “multisensory life store experience”. Six spectacularly named scents will be showcased, including Everything Will Come Together, Do What You Love With People You Love and Little By Little With Joy (all £100 for 100ml EDT), which despite their modern monikers all take their inspiration from the early 20th century.
A range of scented candles (£34) and room sprays (£34), meanwhile, draw their fragrances from Mekdachi’s favourite locations; The Vinyl Store Rue des Dames, The Bomboneria in Barcelona and The Surf Shop of Stephane are all dramatically different yet equally evocative.
Framed photos (from £30 to £395) taken by Mekdachi on his travels around Beirut, Morocco and Los Angeles will also be on display. And an in-store café will offer cups of coffee, pastries… and ping pong. Multisensory indeed.
