Gü Limited Edition Luxury Bauble collection
Just 50 sets of these chocolate decorations are available
If Father Christmas and Willy Wonka joined forces to create festive decorations, the result might be very close to the new Gü Limited Edition Luxury Baubles, which are handmade entirely from chocolate – even down to the ribbon hook.
The collection, launching on Saturday November 1, is not only this year’s seasonal foray for the company, it has also been created to celebrate the first Gü Garden of Temptation at the Taste of London Winter festival (November 20-23), where the luxury baubles (£85 for six) will be available to order. Sets are limited to an edition of 50.
“This Christmas I wanted to make something surprising and decadent and this collection is handmade with 48 individual elements of chocolate,” says head chef Fred Ponnavoy.
The dark-chocolate brown baubles have been created from 70 per cent Tanzanian cacao that opens up to reveal small chocolate squares filled with raspberry ganache. The cheerful red balls are formed from caramelised white chocolate – choc-full of lemon and bergamot-infused bonbons. The bright green baubles are made of white chocolate and hold lime, ginger and almond dark-chocolate delights.
But be warned, these edible delights might not last until Christmas.
